Painters in Local 6, Local 409, and Local 530 voted to ratifiy a contract that included competitive wages and a first-ever parking reimbursement provision. Strong turnout on a Saturday morning saw the proposed deal pass overwhelmingly, securing good raises for our SWPA painters for the next three years. This negotiation could not have been completed without a strong negotiating team, including rank and file members representing all locals and crafts. DC 57 looks forward to continuing its strong work providing well-paid, highly trained workers in painting, drywall finishing, and glazing. This work cannot be done without participation and input from our members, and we appreciate everyone who has voiced their concerns and desires and taken an active role in their working future!
